About CAG Enterprises
In 2001, Chris Garten started pouring concrete in Lexington with a straightforward idea: show up when you say you will, do the work right, and treat every customer like a neighbor. Twenty-five years later, CAG Enterprises is the largest concrete contractor in Central Kentucky — still family-owned, still operating on that same principle.

Built on Handshakes, Not Contracts
Chris Garten started CAG Enterprises in 2001 with a single truck and a small crew. Back then, most jobs were residential driveways in Fayette County. The approach was simple: measure twice, pour once, and never cut corners on the sub-base.
Today, CAG is the largest concrete contractor in Central Kentucky — handling everything from horse farm retaining walls in Versailles to commercial slabs along the I-75 corridor. The crew has grown, the equipment has upgraded, but the principle hasn't changed.
This is a family business, built to last. The plan is to turn the company over to the next generation — and that decision shapes how every job is handled today. When your name stays on the work, you don't take shortcuts.
Meet the Team
The people behind your project aren't temps or subcontractors. They're the same crew members who show up job after job — trained in concrete work specifically, not general labor pulled from a staffing agency.
Chris Garten
Owner & Founder — Since 2001
Chris founded CAG Enterprises in 2001 and has personally overseen concrete projects across Central Kentucky for over 25 years. He's not sitting in an office reviewing reports — he's on the job site, making decisions where they matter.
The plan is to pass the business to the next generation of the family — a decision that shapes how every job is handled today. When your kids will inherit the reputation, you make sure every pour is one you're proud of.
The CAG Enterprises Team
Our crew works together daily, not just when a big project comes in. That consistency matters — concrete finishing is a skill built over years, not weeks. Many of our crew members have been with the company for years, and we treat them like family because that's what this business is built on.

What We Stand For
Twenty-five years in business comes down to a handful of principles that never change.
Family First
We treat our crew like family and our customers like neighbors. Relationships built on respect last longer than any concrete pour.
Specialist, Not Generalist
Concrete is the only trade CAG Enterprises performs. No siding, no roofing, no landscaping side jobs. A crew that pours concrete every day develops precision a general contractor cannot match.
Quality Over Volume
Being the largest doesn't mean rushing through jobs. It means we have the crew size to do each project properly — with time for subgrade prep, correct forming, and proper curing.
Local Roots
We've been in Lexington since 2001. Our crews drive past the driveways, patios, and slabs they poured five, ten, fifteen years ago. That visibility keeps standards high.
Owner on Every Job
Chris Garten is personally involved in every project — not reviewing reports from an office. Decisions get made on-site by the person whose name is on the company.
Show Up. Do It Right.
Show up when you say you will, do the work right, and stand behind it. That's been the operating principle since day one — and it's not changing.
